Summa summa summatime (in Will Smith fashion)
I have a perfectly healthy seasonal love for Fall.
But there's something about
Summer.
Maybe it's this....

or this....

Maybe it's loading up the family wagon and heading out on the open road....
Or preparing the Future Home of Homegrown Goodness in Sugarloaf Grove (copyright Shannon Williams).....

It could be the various dangerous family gatherings....

or muddy encounters....

neighborhood barbecues with the local drunk...

the English Daisies popping in my flower bed....
amazing thunderstorms...
tiny summer-loving creatures after the rain....
food of the gods....
open window and fresh air...
the sound of crickets coming through those open windows at night...
games of Ultimate Croquet (wearing this very appropriate uniform)...
or eating al fresco.
I'm not really sure what makes Summer so very summery, but I'm glad it's here and fully intend on enjoying it.
Which is why my blog will suffer a horrible lack of fresh material.
HAPPY SUMMER!!
