No No Nano

Dear NaNoWriMo,

I regret to inform you that I will not be flinging open my door to welcome you and all your creative chaos in this November.

I feel oddly disloyal.  After all, it is because of you that I am two chapters away from finishing a novel you helped me begin three years ago.

I should offer you a warm, cozy little spot here in my Lair, but you distract me.  I simply cannot entertain you this year for it is the Year of the Query.  I must focus accordingly.
