These are my grandparents.
They’re cool.
Always have been, will be forever. One contributing factor to their coolness is that every year, they gather our family and provide five days in a scenic location. This year?
Henry’s Lake in Yellowstone.
It was cool. Just like my grandparents.
Just like my family.
(Though not cool enough to figure out the obvious demise of that guy in the phone booth who was telling the fishing story, shattered the glass with his bare hands and met his untimely end.)
(And barely cooler than Alli’s socks and flip-flops)
The following is what happens when you get cool people together in a cool place:
You have a cool view
from which you see cool things.
(like bats!)
You take cool drives
accompanied by cool music
to see even more cool sights
Mom builds cool fires and perform cool tribal dances
Cool sisters win Corn Hole
and cool boys watch Care Bears in Spanish
In a cool place, one discovers cool things
(Like pet leeches, for example…)
And gets caught in cool hailstorms that would have been a lot cooler from indoors
Cool.

My uncle's cabin is right next to Henry's Lake so we were vacationing in the same exact spot this summer. That and we both blogged about Yellowstone on the same night. We must be kindred spirits.
BAH! The tribal butt dance! I need to copy that picture from you to have in my collection. It's practically a classic. Too bad we didn't get it on video, since we could probably win with it on AFV. I love the picture of Bennett freezing after swimming and the one where Miles is having a VERY serious conversation with Ryan!
