Iss Yo Choice, Mon

On St. Kitts and Nevis, everything is one’s choice.

And our choice was a sure shot.

We chose to…

Take 3 flights to get to St. Kitts,

speak like the locals,

mingle with the locals,

We chose to explore new places

and chose to spend many a pleasant day there before….

we chose to accept it was time to head home.

But don’t be surprised if we choose to go back sometime….:)

THINGS WE LEARNED IN ST. KITTS

*Sometimes, birds look like they’re coming right at Christopher. (Unless that sparrow really was….)

*Don’t ask questions. Really.

*Richard and Rosemarie found us interesting, but maybe not as interesting as we found them.

*We love Roland, but…is that THE Cathy?

*We have our tight pants on…and MON thigh

*Everything happened to the Taylors 9 years ago

*British people make my day, especially whilst on an island

*’Conch’ is pronounced ‘conk’

*We refer to potholes as polyps

*It never rains for more than two minutes on St. Kitts, so don’t let the forecast frighten you

*Fire alarms have on respect

*”I good’'”

There’s rice and then there’s coconut steamed rice

*Sweet Pea wasn’t so sweet

*Rick has a dark side when it involves conches

*”Hello yo”

Shannon can snorkel AND fly, and since walking on land was already a talent, she’s covered.

*Men can wear women’s swimsuits

*Christopher is a manchild

*There IS a difference in lobsters

*We could live off smoothies and eggs as long as Christopher and Rick are around

*Testimony meeting on an island has an added measure of the spirit

*Rick learned how to properly use a bidet

*Sand dollars are fragile

*Heather learned, after her heart attack, that Christopher didn’t REALLY fall off that cliff

*Shea learned he dominates Ticket to Ride when the wager is humiliating enough

*Tattoos make one feel included  :)

*Saunas are still popular even in tropical climates

*Just because it’s an island, doesn’t mean there’s fruit

*Back in the day, I would have been a civil rights activist

*Crickets in St. Kitts sound like tree flutes

*I would gladly birth a monkey

*Island hair is preferable to Sweet Pea braids

*I cannot shake my knees and walk simultaneously

*Heather has a twin…somewhere around here

*Island air alone keeps me hydrated

*Despite double-volume gym/island hair and profuse sweating, we still get picked up

*5 adults can pound a $70 Gouda wheel

*Christopher can drive on the right side of the car on the wrong side of the road

*Ting=Fresca, Malt=black licorice/molasses/Tootsie Pop in liquid form

*Rick can still make crazy-good salsa despite ingredient unavailability

*Shin Pants=leggings….at least to Rick

*Customs workers are hired for their impressive ability to scowl

*There are a few unsavory Chris Coxs in this world

*Cucumber juice and coconut scones pretty much sums it up

Iss good.

I good.

We good.

:)
