It has been two months and three days since we received an offer of representation. One month and 23 days since we signed with our agent. It has been one month and two days since the first editor requested our manuscript and we were officially ON SUBMISSION.
One would think being ON SUBMISSION would feel magical somehow, but…turns out, ON SUBMISSION and WAITING are synonymous. :)
Oh, and all those trite phrases at the beginning of this post? I choose to believe each of them. In the publishing world, no news is most definitely good news.
Now that we’ve added
to our WAITING list, the anticipation grows exponentially. The goal? Eight editor requests. because, so far, eight has been our magic number for Magic 8. :)
