While others were hunting for the perfect turkey to feast upon, we were hunting scavenger style. :)
Our good friend JTL put together a New Mexico road trip photo scavenger hunt for the boys to complete and return for swanky prizes.
(Although I think the adults in the party had the most fun…)
What we found on our way over the river and through the woods. (Though there aren’t many on this particular road trips…)
Ready? Set! GO!!
(For two Matchbox cars each)
1. Your Dad’s Junior High School in Helper
2. The Creepy Gas Station on Highway 6 north of the 70
5. Shiprock (the actual rock)
6. A junkyard full of cars near Farmington (provided that is the route you take)
7. Cuba (see parameters of #6)
8. The Albuquerque Marriott Hotel off of Louisiana Blvd on Hwy 40 (on the left), where the Lamberts go to the Matchbox Meeting
9. An alien face (real or fake)
10. Three buildings that look like spaceships
Bennett and Miles can pick out a third car each if they are able to provide photos of at least FIVE of the following items (more than five might merit a larger bonus):
1. A deserted building by the La Sal turnoff that looks like it has wings
2. An obnoxious sign painted onto a pretty rock
3. A natural arch south of Moab
4. A silo
5. A billboard with a gorilla
6. One of your names or your parent’s names on a sign
7. Something weird on the side of the road that should not be there
9. A Kenworth Truck
10. A picture on a sign or billboard of a man with a long beard
(but we got the real thing)
11. The word “kitten” on a billboard
12. Miles asleep with his mouth open
(The practice session)
(The real thing)
14. A sign that sparkles in New Mexico
15. A Twinkie in a gas station convenience store
*These photos do not require stopping. A photo while passing will suffice. The toy car council will take creativity into consideration. Good luck.
And I took the liberty of adding my own bonus photos to the road trip. :)
