There’s a reason Memorial Day is considered the official first day of summer because, well…who cares about school and soccer and obligations after that?!
I DECLARE! LET SUMMER BEGIN, FOR I CANNOT WAIT ANOTHER MOMENT!
The final week found us Summer Crazed. We just had to get OUT—DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING but what we’d been doing for the last nine months, for the LOVE!
So we went to Lagoon.
and we finished soccer.
We put on our excited faces
finished HOPE Squad nominations
revved our engines
celebrated momentous albeit fake milestones (thanks, Melissa, for remembering the important days!)
and performed for the masses.
We watched the clouds
and visited Grandpa Great and Grandma Great on the farm
before going to another farm.
We rescued forlorn animals
raced FIRST EVER Pinewood derby cars
and signed publishing contracts
so that, once that final school bell rang, the summer was ALL OURS.
