Our house was totally Christmas Eved-Out.
That is NOT to say we were Christmas Exhausted.
Oh no.
That IS to say we were EVED-OUT-- strung out on Christmas like the longest, brightest strand of lights, high like unto Santa’s sleigh and merrier than the widest grin on the happiest little red-cheeked elf in the North Pole.
Santa was tracked,
summoned using the Portable North Pole
and highly anticipated from inside our fog-swaddled cozy Christmas Eved-out home.
“Brother Gifts” were ripped open, (the arsenal well-supplied),
carefully chosen To Mom and Dad gifts were given
(they know their mother well…)
and Santa’s exclusive
Christmas Eve VIP key
was placed
before the children were nestled all snug in their familial, Christmas-movie-watching beds.
C Minus 1….and counting….not quite fast enough, but still counting….
